Wendi Lester was born in Tyler, Texas, and grew up in the small East Texas town of Jacksonville. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University, located in Nacogdoches, Texas, and graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Rehabilitation Services, and with a minor in Interpreting for the Deaf in 1996. In 1998, she graduated from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas, where she was a member of the Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization recognizing individuals who excel in advocacy and service at their law schools.

After graduating from law school, Ms. Lester worked at two law firms located in the Central Texas area, and thereafter, started her law practice, Wendi Lester & Associates, P.C., in 2000. She practices in the areas of personal injury; family law, including adoption, divorce, and child custody; estate planning, including wills, trusts, and probate; real estate law; and mediation. Additionally, she is a trained mediator.

She has been a member of several professional law associations, including the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Women's Legal Society, and the Williamson County Bar Association. Ms. Lester is admitted to practice law in all state courts of Texas. She is frequently appointed as an Amicus Attorney for children and has a passion for advocating for the best interest of children.

Ms. Lester is also very involved in her community. She serves as an advisor to the Board of Directors of the Agape Pregnancy Resource Center in Round Rock, Texas and the Boys and Girls Club of Georgetown, Texas. She volunteers on a regular basis at Zion Lutheran School in Walburg, Texas. She coaches the middle school girls basketball teams at Zion Lutheran School. She is a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Walburg, Texas. She has served on various boards and committees within the church and currently serves on the Board of Missions at Zion.

Wendi considers motherhood to be her greatest accomplishment. She has two sons, Jack Mason and Miles Mason. Jack attends Zion Lutheran School and Miles attends classes in the Georgetown School District. Wendi enjoys attending sporting events, theater performances and staying involved with all of her boys activities. Outside the practice of law, she enjoys spending time with her family, and other pursuits, such as home improvement and decorating, music and theater, exercise and traveling. Wendi has a heart for mission work. She enjoyed mission trips to Haiti and New Orleans in 2015 as well as local mission work. She is looking forward to returning to Haiti and a mission trip to Kenya in 2016.
